BRETHREN — The Brethren Heritage Museum opens for the season this weekend.

The museum will be open from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, at the corner of Cart and Amick streets in Brethren.

The original museum building displays a miniature High Bridge model complete with Manistee and Northeastern train. Also present are miniature models of the 12 one-room schools present in the Brethren area in early years. The Tool Shed displays artifacts from the early lumber and farming industry in the area. A third building, originally a cabin, displays artifacts utilized by pioneers in the early and middle 1900s.

Docents are on hand to answer questions. There is no charge, but donations are welcome.
